Once you make your own hummus, you'll definitely cut back on buying it at the store.
- 2 cans chickpeas drained
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 3 cloves garlic peeled
- 2 lemons juiced
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to food processor
Blend for at least 30 seconds
Check consistency and add additional olive oil or a tablespoon of water if too thick
Taste and add additional lemon juice, salt, or pepper as needed
Serve with some extra olive oil drizled on top, and a sprinkle of cumin or smoked paprika. Great with carrots, celery, pita chips, crackers, or whatever you'd prefer.
